It is one of the most scenic areas of the island with its sandy beach that shelves gently into the sea.
There are traditional tavernas serving local cuisine just waiting to be discovered.
From the coast there are beautiful views over the uninhabited island of Marathonisi where the famous caretta-caretta loggerhead turtles come to nest.
